Disney Travel Album Day 2 || Document Disney

Happy Friday, friends and welcome to Star Wars Day in my Disney 2021 travel album! If you tuned in last week, you’ve already seen Day 1 in this 3×8 Disney album– all about our first day at Magic Kingdom.

On Day 2, we headed off to the land of Batuu in a galaxy far, far away aka Star Wars Land in Hollywood Studios park.

I created a transparent divider from one of the Project Mouse pattern papers and adhered a circle with the day and park we visited each day. Behind the transparency is a full 3×8 photo (outside of the page protector) of the Millennium Falcon.

Since the previous page is outside the page protector, I created a pocket to add more memorabilia using the packaging from a Star Wars mug we bought from one of the shops and backed it with a photo I took of the Droid Depot.

On the right hand side, I used a full page 3×8 page protector to document our visit to the milk stand and added some hidden journaling behind the photo of our blue milk.

One of the highlights of our day in Batuu was getting to ride Smuggler’s Run. I documented our full experience with photos of us waiting in line (it was looooong) and our daughter’s reaction at the end.

Another memorable experience was getting to meet the Storm Troopers. I used a Star Wars font I got many moons ago to write storm troopers across the full two page spread and added a popped up photo of my daughter posing in front of them as well as one of my husband and I.

Looking back at all my photos from this trip, I was really appreciative for how good I was at snapping photo shots which I almost alway forget to do! I used the Star Wars font again to add the name of the cantina we ate at and added some photos of us waiting for our order and the dessert we got.

On the right hand side of the spread, I used one of the divided 2×8 and 4×8 style pocket pages to add a photo of my daughter with Chewbacca (because of Covid the characters were all socially distanced from the guests) and a magical picture of the three of us in front of the Millennium Falcon. Love, love, LOVE having our MemoryMaker photos in this album! Plus I love that this photo documents all three of our Star Wars shirts!

On the next layout, I documented how very tired we were this day! We actually chose to go back to the hotel to rest up for a bit before our dinner reservation at Epcot. These divided 2×8 and 4×8 pocket pages work perfectly for pairing journaling with a full photo.

We went to La Cantina de San Angel for dinner and I love the brightness of our photos so much I chose to mimic the colors with the title I created. Again, I’m using the same title style as the Project Mouse word art to add more cohesiveness through the album.

On the opposite side, I used a divided 6×8 page protector with two 3×8 pockets to create a flip out of all the amazing photos we took wandering through Epcot. I created the title ‘The Flower and Garden Festival’ in photoshop with the aid of some Disney clipart I found off the internet.

This flip out was so fun! I love that I got to add even more of my photos (like this fun collection of my daughter posing in front of the Pooh characters as well as journaling.

I finished out Day 2 with a 3×8 photo of Spaceship Earth I took as we were leaving the park and added this sweet photo of my daughter posing by the butterfly mural they had up during construction. It might have been her favorite part of this very long walking day!

And that is the end of Day 2 of our 2021 trip to Disney World!
